An experienced local voice for Vernon and Lumby
Harwinder Sandhu is an MLA, a community activist, and a longtime Vernon resident. First elected in 2020, she was born to a farm family. Haaving lived in rural communities across BC, she understands the needs of those communities. As a healthcare worker for over two decades, and as a mother of three, she knows deeply what it means to have a government that is committed to building a stronger province: strengthening public healthcare, creating more jobs and opportunity, and protecting people from rising costs.
Harwinder’s commitment to public service is inspired by her own personal experience of overcoming hardship. She knows how hard it can be to make ends meet and get by. After being left widowed with 2 toddlers, the experience of being a single, working mother required all her strength. Now married to healthcare worker Baljit, together they are raising three children.
